Artic sol & Members/Bio

Who we Are:

Artic Sol is a four-piece original rock band from Boston, Massachusetts, delivering high-energy rock riffs and powerful lyrics. Guitarists Joe and Mike S., who previously played together in another band, set out to create a fresh, original rock sound. Bringing in his brother Mike D. on bass, the trio quickly jammed out what would become their first songs, Not The One and 5th Ave Hold Out. After just one rehearsal, Mike D. suggested his former bandmate Brian—who could sing, play keys, and write lyrics on the spot. Legend has it that Brian penned the lyrics on his way to rehearsal, and that night, the band completed these songs, realizing they had something special.

Since that moment, Artic Sol has been an unstoppable creative force, crafting over 20 original tracks that blend raw energy with melody-driven hooks. Their music captures the essence of true rock spirit, combining tight musicianship with storytelling lyrics that resonate. With a growing catalog of original songs, Artic Sol is ready to bring their electrifying sound to audiences everywhere. Give them a listen—you won’t be disappointed!

Brian Wolonsavich-Lead Singer/Keyboards

Music has been a lifelong passion, deeply rooted in my family's history. Both of my grandfathers were musicians—one played multiple instruments, while the other sang opera and played piano by ear. Their influence ignited a spark in me that has only grown stronger. Though I've never had formal training, I’ve always relied on intuition, letting the music guide me. This instinctive approach has allowed me to craft songs with hidden meanings and stories that reveal themselves over time.

Performing with various bands has been a way to connect with audiences, where I feel most alive, communicating through the power of song. Five years ago, a simple decision to buy a keyboard set revived my creativity, leading to new projects and unexpected collaborations. Even after setbacks, including the loss of a band member, music has remained a constant.

A month after my previous band dissolved, Mike D. reached out with a new opportunity. On my way to check out his project, he sent me a recording of a song they’d been working on. By the time I arrived, I had already written lyrics and a melody—it was one of those rare, serendipitous moments that only music can bring, reaffirming that music always finds its way back when it's needed most.

Influenced by the emotional melodies of Journey, the raw energy of The Rolling Stones, and the innovation of The Beatles, I aim to create songs that are both catchy and deep, inviting listeners to explore new layers with each listen. Music, for me, is about connection, exploration, and creating something that endures.

Mike Sarro-Lead guitar/Back Vocals

Mike has been playing guitar since he was 14. Music was a major focus in high school, taking many music classes, choral programs, and private lessons and jamming with friends. His guitar teacher talked him into an audition at the Berklee College of Music.  After two years in core music classes in the Music Education program and teaching privately, he chased the Rock 'n Roll dream and moved to Tampa, Florida, for its' rock scene.

After a couple of years there and trying to figure out how to make a living, music took a back seat to family and career, but it was always in his heart and ears. His love for Classic and 90's Rock paved the way for his new projects. After a long hiatus, he's been rocking out since 2005 with a vengeance and has formed several bands with regional success. Artic Sol is the culmination of those years crafting his riffs and feels this is his breakout project!

Mike Delorfano - Bass Guitar

Music was my second choice, playing sports and a dream of being a professional football player was my first choice but when you stop growing and all your teammates that you used to murder out in the field become giants it was time to make a change.

I started playing the guitar which I absolutely hated, and I wanted to play something more percussive but melodic so my brother Joe which had been playing drums and music for years before I even thought about being a musician said "why don't you try playing the bass guitar" so one of his guitar players from one of his rock bands at that time gave me an old Kramer Bass when I was sixteen years old and started playing by ear, jamming with my brother and just never really stopped playing. I played through high school attending Jazz Band, Marching Band, Concert Band, and cover bands.

I attended Berklee College Of Music in Boston Massachusetts and ensembled with many very talented musicians playing Funk, Jazz, Fushion, R&B, and Sole music where I was mentored by Jaco Pastorius, Stanley Clark, Larry Graham, Bootsy Collins, John Paul Jones, Getty Lee, among others.

Joe Delorfano - Drums

Joe and hails from Somerville, MA. He has played in many diverse ensembles covering genres from jazz, to classic rock, R&B, and his favorite - funk. Joe began playing before he reached his teens and was discovered by his first band when they heard him playing through the open windows of his parent's house. He was too young to play in the venues for adults, so his father was his chaperone and first roadie. Joe played on through high school in jazz, marching, concert bands, and cover bands in the Boston/Somerville area.

Joe attended the Berklee College of Music in Boston, where he was mentored by Steve Gadd, Steve Smith, David Garibaldi, and Vinnie Calautta, among others.

After an extended break away from music for life events, Joe is back at it doing what he loves - drumming and performing,
